Seeing red

Today’s sketch didn’t start with any particular direction.

Things in the back of my mind:

The conclusion of the exhibition and my experience with HQ, a discussion with Nick about an artist that presents photographs with their basic colour palette, and the thought of doing a series of abstract landscapes.

Dr Sketchy’s

It feels like forever since the last Dr Sketchy’s, but this eve’s session was worth the wait. Not one, but two models! The ever-amusing Feisty Strumpet and dexterous Trixi Tassels both lived up to their names in tonight’s sketching extravaganza. Apparently there’ll be two sessions per month over summer so if you’re interested in getting your Burlesque art on head to their website and sign up to the mailing list, and/or +1 the facebook group to receive direct invites to events.

Without further ado, here are some Sketchy sketchings.
