Did these sketches at the gallery over the weekend. When you have an exhibition that clashes with the AFL grand final expect a lull in visitors.

I love The Preytells. They kicked off their national tour and album launch last night at the Rosemount and played a great set to an enthused crowd.

They were a definite standout when I first saw them play back in 06, and anyone reading this over east: go see them! They’re  great live and are playing throughout the next few weeks before returning to Perth for another show at the Rosie on 9th October…

Speaking of October 9… I’ve got some art in Clothespeg Volume 3 opening that night at Slaughterblouse, 451 Beaufort St, 7-10pm. Slaughterblouse is in close proximity to the Rosemount, so come and check out both events!

This guy clearly hasn’t had enough sleep. Maybe he’s recently had an art exhibition, too!

Hi all, sorry for any inconvenience but I’ve just been informed that YMCA completely closes on public holidays. As such, the Apple Cider Tea Party exhibit and gallery won’t be open tomorrow (Monday) despite saying so on the flyers.

I’ll be here today (Sunday) til 4pm, and the exhibition will continue running Tuesday and Wednesday 9am-5pm.

Well, potentially. I’m not sure what’s happening tomorrow, check back tonight for status update if you’re planning on going tomorrow. I’ll be there from 10am – 4pm today.

It was only yesterday I realised that tomorrow is a public holiday. Clearly I’m not in tune with the ~working world~, every day’s a painting day! Anyway, I don’t know if YMCA typically opens on public holidays. Being a youth-centric operation I’m hoping it will be open and staffed, otherwise I might have to do a 9-5 stint. I did this piece a few months ago. It was originally intended to be in the Apple Cider Tea Party exhibition but I decided not to include it. Even though I wanted to represent something positive it turned out looking far too morbid.  Driven by subconscious processes, no doubt. It didn’t fit with the overall feel I wanted to give the exhibition. Consider it a one-piece prelude to ACTP.
