You want somethin’, go get it. Period.
I just watched The Pursuit of Happyness, and didn’t realise it was a biographical movie until the end. I probably would’ve appreciated it more had I known. You know, empathised more with the character’s plight and whatnot. There’s something about having a big name actor in the starring role that lightened his character’s struggle. As if he’d soon discover his malfunctioning X-ray box had the inherent ability to summon Martin Lawrence and they’d go on a face-grinding adventure leading to money and babes in bountiful quantities.
Despite my typecasting dilemma it was a pretty good movie. Will Smith performed very well in the role, but I still would’ve preferred it if the makeup/costume department somehow made him less Will Smithy. They could’ve given him a hearty beard, a pair of face-engulfing spectacles or a gorilla mask with cornrows. King of the jungle! The urban jungle.
Now then, I need to figure out what I want so I can “go get it.”
I think I’ll set my sights on Darkon. That should be quite obtainable. Watch the trailer. Period.
